Jump Into the 82nd's First Airborne Operation!
Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister, viewed Italy as "the soft underbelly" of the Nazi crocodile. However, in order to invade the Italian peninsula, the Allies would need a base of operations closer than North Africa. The island of Sicily, located just off the coast of the "toe" of the Italian "boot", was chosen as the prelude to the invasion of Italy.
As a part of the invasion of Sicily, your unit will be dropping into the town of Adanti with orders to secure it from the enemies and prevent them from using it as a staging area for counterattacks against Allied amphibious landings on the coast. You must first neutralize the antiaircraft emplacements in the town and then drive out the enemy.
The demo for Airborne will feature part of the first operation of the game, Operation Husky. Players will get to tackle the first 4 objectives of the game, and be able to experience the jump experience with each death. The weapon loadout of the game will include the M1 Garand and the Thompson.
