CATACLYSM BETA BEGINS
Rejoice, fellow players! The wait is over! Blizzard Entertainment has just announced in a press release, that the super-highly anticipated World of Warcraft expansion Cataclysm is now entering a closed beta period!

Yes, you read that right. Just few hours ago Ruby Sanctum has been opened on the live realms, and now this bomb explodes. Cataclysm is nearly here! Blizzard announced, that they're starting to send first batch of beta invites right now. Go and check out your luck - login to your Battle.net account to see if you have a Cataclysm Beta license attached. The whole process of beta invitations will work pretty much the same as the recent StarCraft II beta worked.

Ok, no invite yet? Worry not! The internets are already getting a cataclysmic flood of new materials. Boubouille from MMO-Champion.com is spamming his portal with tons of stuff related to the alpha and beta version of Cataclysm. Patch 3.3.5 on PTRs!
Just a couple of hours ago, Blizzard has opened up the Public Test Realm forums again and posted the first notes of the upcoming Patch 3.3.5! As expected, the patch brings the previously announced new Ruby Sanctum one-boss raid and Battle.net integration. Along with some cool chat interface improvements! Check out the full notes below:

General

• The Ruby Sanctum, an all-new 10- and 25-player raid featuring normal and Heroic difficulties, is now available for testing! Players will find the dungeon entrance below Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight.
  
• Copied Test Realm characters are not copied with their achievement history in order to better facilitate the character copy process.

• Players can now right-click on any chat type (Whisper, Trade, General, Party, Raid, etc.) and choose the Pop Out Chat option. This will move that chat type to a separate tab in the Chat frame which can be undocked and moved anywhere on the screen.
